More Vignettes II

Continuing on with the vignette play I started in my last post, here are more shots from the past two days.

I was looking at my bare trees in the backyard today,

and got an idea.  They have such sculptural branches.

I whacked off some of the branches, brought them into my studio, and placed them in some of my urns.  I added crystal prisms here and there.  Just another possible Christmas decor idea I'm considering.  I altered the little bottle with burlap, gesso, and a vintage stamp.  I'm making a bunch of these.

My hurricane is holding some of the branches, and strings of crystals.  Reminds me of ice.  In front are more of my metal roses.  I sprayed these silver.

I'll be back with more ideas, redesigns, and announcements.  See ya soon.

  1. You need your own store I think. I bought a little concrete bird I think you would like.

This is a very pretty post love the mixture of different textures.
Lots of sparkle and roughness of the branches, loving that contrast...

  11. Glad to see how you turned the branches over to this pretty decoration. So in winter though everything looks gloomy, with your inspiration everything can be cheerful. Love reading it.

  14. I plan on placing some interesting sticks at the top of my Christmas tree. So, I know how it is to use things like that for decoration. I love using nature in my decor. I like your use of the crystal prisms on there too.

  22. Great ideas for Christmas displays. I like the branches brought in... a small amount of snow would be pretty as well. The urns and the prisms add a bit
sparkle. The bottles are also a great idea!
